The "Get a Life" web site is available at www.getalife.tx.gov. I invite you to click around on the site and to share it with your faculty, parents and, most important, your students. The site was created with input from a diverse group of middle school students and is designed to be fun and interactive. It covers hot Texas jobs of the future, career explorations based on interest areas, post-secondary education options, and ways to plan for the future. We also link to a fun Texas Workforce Commission game called "Reality Check", which allows kids to see how much they will need to earn to support the kind of lifestyle they would like to have as adults.
