Johnston Middle School continues to have students in many competitions and we are proud to share their efforts with the community.

Art Department

  • Scholastic Art and Writing Winners are (Gold Key) Jordyn Williams and (Silver Key) Angela Floyd-.
  • HISD Holiday Greeting Card Regional Winner is Andy Tran.

Choral Department

On Saturday, 1/23, 37 Johnston choir students competed in Solo & Ensemble contest at Johnston Middle School. Every single student earned a superior ("1") rating!!

Additionally, four students earned an outstanding performance medal. Here are the results:

Tex Bright, Casjun Husmann, Jonathan Maislin, John Koozin, Travis Grosscope, Courtney Morgan, Morayo Adkindoju, Jayla St.Julien, Alyssa Jacobs, Breasha Blaylock, Kayla Franklin, Marilyn Arnold, Stacey Markos, Vanessa Parada, Alexandria Darden, Julianna Orepo-Orjay, Lyla Lyles, Alice Bermejo, Emily Wolfe, Rangie Bessard, Monica Pereira, Christianna Johnson, Bianca Gil, Jessica Lartigue, Athena Letcher-Henderson, Kourtney Prawl, Carly Johnson, Raven Jordan, Courtney House, Mia DeLaFuente, Tracy Conner, Sara Cunningham, Misty Birtcher, BJ Ragan, Lewis McAdow, Emily Wolfe, and Jarred McKinzie all earned gold medals!
