Congratulations to our School Nurse, Sonia Garcia!  She was selected to be honored as one of Houston’s Top 10 Outstanding Nurses as part of the Houston Chronicle’s “Salute to Nurses” event. We are so lucky to have her at Johnston Middle School because she takes care of all of us, teachers included! This event is in support of National Nurses Week and she will be honored at a luncheon at the Hilton Post Oak Hotel this month. Over 500 nurses were nominated and our nurse placed in the top ten, actually #1! We are Johnston Proud of our Nurse! Way to go, Nurse Garcia!
