On Tuesday, Nov. 10th, Johnston Middle School Theater students advanced to the UIL OAP District finals with Moliere’s The Misanthrope, directed by Ms. Stephanie Wittels. Individual Awards went to the following students: Outstanding Technician- Rachel Massey; Honorable Mention All Star Cast -Cody Pugal and Allie Lewis; All Star Cast-Chandler Dean, Noel Velasquez and Edgar Rahbani; and Best Actress- Elizabeth Martinsen.

Theater students performed The Misanthrope at the OAP District finals on Saturday, November 14th, where they won 3rd place. Individual awards went to the following students: Outstanding Technician – Jamie Weiser; Honorable Mention All Star Cast- Noel Velasquez, and All Star Cast- Elizabeth Martinsen.
